Alerts Widget

Visualization Options for this widget type include: map, heat map, and ticker. The map option is currently limited to AWS integrations. Map alerts can be grouped via element or policies. See the Alerts User Guide for a full explanation of events and alerts, and their relationship to policies. Scope Set the scope by inputting an element name or choosing an element tag or attribute. Group By Group your alerts by element or policy.

Copy a Dashboard

Copy a Dashboard A quick and easy way to create a customized dashboard is to copy a defaulted one and edit it. Navigate to Dashboards > Select Dashboard Name. Click on > Copy. Rename the Dashboard. Edit the widgets by clicking … > Settings or Delete.

Cost Explorer Widget

Visualization Options for this widget type include: period comparison, service total, and doughnut. Options Top Limit: Set a limit on the number of services represented in the visualization Grouped By: Choose between AWS Service, Account Id, or Availability Zone Time Range Selecting a Time Range defines a scope in time the visualization uses to measure cost. Using the Period Comparison visualization enables you to select a current timeframe (day, month, 6 months, etc) and compare its previous timeframe interval.

Dashboards

Visualize your data in Metricly with dashboards.You can use the default, pre-packaged integration dashboards or create and customize your own using widgets. Default dashboards are not editable. View a Dashboard Click on Dashboards in the main menu. or Navigate to Dashboards > Manage Dashboards. Edit a Dashboard Editing an existing dashboard can involve managing the layout of a dashboard, changing the dashboard’s settings, or manipulating the time frame setting/refresh interval.

Duration & Refresh Intervals

Adjusting the dashboard’s Duration or Refresh Interval affects the data displayed in widgets on your dashboard. Change Duration Edit the Duration setting for the dashboard in the sub navigation menu. Choose a Duration (past) value. Select an Ending value (default is Now). The data then automatically reloads to reflect your changes. Two widgets behave differently in regards to the Duration setting: Metric Status Widget: Current Values in Metric Status widgets are not affected by the Time Frame setting.

Events Widget

Visualization Options for this widget type include: Heat Map and Ticker. Heat Map Options Status: Shows events from the past 5 minutes Summary: Shows events from the past hour Scope Set your scope by selecting an element type, policy, or category (such as warning). You can also use exclusion statements to filter out specific resources via tags and attributes. Widget Name Give your widget a name before selecting Save.

Favorites

Favorited dashboards display as a drop-down list under Dashboards in the main top navigation menu. Favorite a Dashboard Navigate to the Dashboard menu (or Dashboard > Manage Dashboards). A list of all the dashboards available in your tenant appears. Click next to a dashboard to favorite it. Unfavorite a Dashboard Repeat the above process and click to unfavorite the dashboard. This removes the dashboard from your quick drop-down list in the top navigation menu.

Multi Metric Widget

Visualization Visualization Options for this widget type include: line, area, and stacked. Scope Set your scope by inputing a value in the Scope search field. You can narrow your scope further selecting specific elements, tags, attributes, or metrics. Grouping Metrics Select the Group by button next to your chosen widget. Update the Aggregation method by selecting an option in the dropdown. You cannot modify the Group by field value metric.
